Flowing next to and around us is the beautiful Diamond Creek with its beautiful Platypus and overhanging Gum Trees.
Information from

Sea Scouts in Land Locked Eltham?

It is a common question. As you might have guessed there is quite a few lakes and rivers quite close by to Eltham. We love to frequent the Yarra, Sugarloaf and annual trips to the bay and scout regattas to various locations around the state.  Our Joeys and Cubs love Watermarc and the Eltham Leisure Centre along with any chance to get out and Kayak or Canoe.
We have quite a few boats and a flotilla of our own canoes. If you are allergic to water, that is not a problem as we have so many events, water only forms part of our lives.

The 2nd Eltham Sea Scouts Scout is managed by a team of awesome leaders and the Committee on a voluntary basis.

The leaders co-ordinate the activities of the young people and the Group Leader supports and co-ordinates the leaders. Leaders are fully trained by Scouts Victoria. The benefits of being a leader include:

  •    Opportunities for travel.

  •    Participating in activities such as canoeing, hiking, rafting, water and snow skiing, camping, cooking over an open fire, crafts and other outdoor activities.

  •    Support in obtaining certificate 3 and 4 in front line business management which can help develop a career path.

  •    Opportunities for social networking.

  •    The knowledge that one has contributed positively to our youth.

Please note all Parent Support and Leaders have a working with children check.

The committee helps support the activities of the leaders. The committee consists of a group of volunteers, usually parents or carers, who meet once a month to discuss issues such as fundraising activities, finances, safety, obtaining grants, co-ordinating events, recruitment, building maintenance and support for the leaders.

Being a committee member or leader is a great way to make new friends and keep in touch with what is happening in scouting.

You can help promote the smooth running of the 2nd Eltham Sea Scouts group by becoming a Eltham Scouts committee member.

We always welcome new Eltham Scouts Members Contact UsToday.

2nd Eltham Scouts acknowledge the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land
the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
